C.S.A. Candle Service Announcement

Every season is candle season, but there’s something about this time of year that makes candles feel extra special.

Whether it’s a spooky atmosphere at Halloween, or cozy ambiance at holiday get-togethers, candles are a great addition to your home décor.

Now, there are a lot of potentially dangerous things that we love out there:

and as with anything with a flame it is important that we use them responsibly. So here are my 5 helpful reminders:

Never leave a candle burning unattended. It can be really easy to get distracted and walk away, or even leave the house completely, but please be mindful of the very real danger that leaving a lit candle can cause.

Remember to trim your candle wicks. This is what a new candle looks like:

and this is what a candle that has burned for a couple hours looks like:

As you can see the wicks are a little taller and have big balls on top. If you don’t trim these off, your flame can grow unnecessarily large and burn hotter than it should. It is also possible for the wicks to curve over to the side, you want to make sure that they are always straight up and down.

Always place your burning candles out of reach of young children and pets, which includes away from places they can climb up to or bump into while running around.

Keep your candles away from anything that is flammable, such as curtains and loose papers.

And finally, place candles away from edges of surfaces. This simple act can prevent a lot of accidents.

This concludes our candle service announcement. At Jasmine Falls, we love candles and know you love them too.

So here’s to all of us enjoying our candles responsibly. Cheers! https://jasminefalls.com/pages/candles-wax-melts
